Like fine wine I get better with age! I have
been in the beauty industry for 43 years. I have been a
licensed Cosmetology Instructor since 1984. I first trained as a
massage therapist in 1989, and became licensed in NC in the Fall
of 2007. Additionally, I am certified in Reiki, and
microdermabrasion. I have had hours of training and experience in
spa services including reflexology, aromatherapy, body wraps,
facials, European manicures and pedicures. I still love
hairstyling!
I am an ordinary sixty-two years old and have been
given a second chance at life. I had a near death experience 12
yeas ago as the result of critical injuries received in an auto
accident. The healing process has been very difficult.
I've had numerous surgeries; eye, back, gastric bypass,
rotator cuff, dupuytren’s contraction, carpal tunnel and also a
great deal of physical therapy. My eyes have to be corrected so
that I look normal and my brain has adapted so that 99% of the
time I no longer have double vision. I have developed bone spurs (osteoarthritis)
because of the injuries, and I still have a little memory loss.
But, I have been healed of diabetes, my blood pressure is
under control, I've lost over 100 pounds, my leg and foot have
most of the feeling back, and I
continue to heal daily. Learning has been wonderful for my injured
brain. With much hard
work, study, and prayer I have maintained an excellent GPA and
became a massage therapist. The most remarkable healing that I
have received is my appreciation of life. I am so very thankful to
be able to see, walk, breath, learn, love and especially to be
able to help others heal. Having experienced so much pain, I
relate easily to others in their sickness and suffering.
God has blessed me with a compassionate heart and a healing
touch. I'm so very
thankful to be alive.
I am a wonderful massage therapist, a cosmetologist and
enjoy performing all spa services.
They seem to be healing to my spirit as well as to those
receiving them. This is the path I am to pursue to enhance my
life’s mission. I am able to lay hands on others and help with
their pain and to lower their stress. It is a physically
challenging career, but is performed at a soothing and healing
pace. With the many years of life’s experiences, I have so much
to offer in the spa and massage setting. My desire is for my life
to continue to be worthwhile. My purpose is to do the Lord’s
work by helping others. I have so much to offer and am so grateful
to be able to do.
